PTSG Helps Open Golf Championship Go With A Swing
Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), via constituent company NSS Group, has recently completed a project to deliver specialist powered access equipment to the Royal Troon Open Golf Championship.
The 152nd Open Championship took place at Royal Troon Golf Club, South Ayrshire. It is one of the major championships on the PGA Tour and European Tour.
The Old Course begins alongside the sea, running southwards in a line for the first six holes. This opening section offers full visibility and plenty of space, but does still require accuracy to avoid deep bunkers. Many good rounds have been fashioned through low scores here, often aided by prevailing downwind. Prevailing downwind conditions have often aided many good rounds fashioned through low scores here.
NSS Hire, which forms an integral part of PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd, delivered mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), known informally as cherry pickers, to enable broadcasters to capture a wide range of footage of the golf championship from some spectacular positions and heights.
NSS Hire is having a busy year in 2024. It recently hired out specialist powered access platforms to the Wimbledon Championships. From 26th‑30th June, its MEWPs enabled broadcasters to capture a wide variety of footage of this year’s Glastonbury music festival. NSS Hire supplied truck‑mounted access systems to assist with the broadcast of the Trooping the Colour ceremony in The Mall. This was done earlier in the same month, on Saturday 15th June.
