SAGE 2023 will be held at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern on the 19th and 20th of July 2023, and the recent announcement of it playing host to the UK Loggers National Championships adds to the long list of reasons to enjoy a day or two in the Worcestershire countryside.

Filled with live outdoor demos of the latest machinery, leading industry exhibitors, expert-led summits, live music, entertainment, food stalls, and the ever-popular bar, SAGE should be top of your list of expos to exhibit at and visit this summer! Here’s what to expect:

The UK Loggers National Championship

This fierce test of precision and skill will determine an overall precision chainsaw champion – with the best among the competitors going on to represent their country at the World Logging Championship next year. Consisting of five disciplines, the championship tests every facet of logging – from cross cutting, to felling, limbing, a chain change and a relay race.

Richard Siddons from UK Loggers said: “When we learnt more about SAGE and how it’s all about providing interactive, hands-on experiences and demonstrations, it was clear this would be the ideal place to hold the UK Loggers National Championships. Not only is there a huge amount of outside space available for us to hold the contest, we’ll also be surrounded by people who will appreciate the skill and experience of those taking part in the competition.

“We plan to put on a great show for those watching, who will also hopefully learn a little more about the many different aspects of precision chainsaw competing. And, of course, the champion will also be crowned, as well as the best few chosen to represent the UK next year at a global level.”

Sustainability

This year, SAGE 2023 is bringing sustainability to the forefront and leading the way in making exhibitions greener. In line with green practices outlined by official green partner GRASS, SAGE is making made several sustainable changes to the expo. Throughout the event, there will be no disposable plastic water bottles, and instead, fountains will be available to fill up reusable bottles. Similarly, all packaging used by on-site caterers will be fully compostable. At the bar, beer barrels will be replacing bottles, and hired glasses will be used at the networking events to reduce single-use plastic.

In partnership with Bio-Circle, SAGE is going to be hosting the first-ever sustainable solutions summit for grounds specialists. This year, SAGE will also be home to GRASS, the all-new sustainable forum that advises on tailor-made sustainable practices for businesses to help their mission to hit net zero by 2050. Built to support the grounds care industry with knowledge and specialist advice, GRASS will exclusively exhibit at SAGE this year.

Transport And Accommodation

SAGE is conveniently located just off the M5 in the 5* venue at the foot of the famous Malvern Hills. The Three Counties Showground is a stunning outdoor venue, with a fantastic selection of accommodations just a stone throw’s away in Malvern, Worcester, or Ledbury. SAGE offers premium accommodation rates to exhibitors where possible. Unlike many other trade shows, parking at SAGE is free! Alternatively, there is free transport available from the train station - all visitors need to do is pre-book.
