World Mental Health Day 2024

A World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on 10th October. This year’s theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is workplace mental health.

This topic highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and wider communities.

In our industry, FM’s are intrinsic to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all; through their tireless work our days can be made a little easier each day by providing a more comfortable environment to work within.

Work can have a huge impact on our mental health, a place where so many of us spend so much of our lives. It can be good for our mental health, giving us a sense of purpose, boosting our self‑worth, and providing opportunities to connect with others. But it can also be a source of stress and anxiety and contribute to developing or worsening mental health problems.

Today, and on all days, let's break the stigma around talking about our feelings, leading to better outcomes for ourselves and those people around us.
