The FSOA Are Sponsoring Barnsley Women's Football Club
FSOA Ambassador, John Rutherford was approached by the group – who are run independently and not associated with Barnsley FC – to see if we could help them after another sponsor withdrew.
It was decided by the Management Board that we could help and the FSOA now sponsor their weekly “Player of the Match” award.
Barnsley Women's Football Club owner and CEO, Steve Maddock, was delighted to have the FSOA on board.
This sponsorship highlights the FSOA's commitment to support football at grassroots level and to promote women’s football.
The Ladies first team competes in the North East Regional League and are in the Premier Division.
The Ladies offer an opportunity for any aspiring young female footballer as well as excellent coaching from a superb team of qualified staff.
