Burg‑Wächter's Secure Communities Scheme Keeps Vandals And Thieves At Bay For Sporting Charity

Burg‑Wächter UK's 'Secure Communities Scheme' is helping to keep outdoor equipment safe for a London sporting charity. The company received an application from Barn Elms Sports Trust for the free‑of‑charge support that the security specialist’s Secure Communities Scheme provides. Wishing to assist the Trust, Burg‑Wächter has donated ten long shackle padlocks and five heavy duty chains to keep goal posts and nets secure at the playing fields overseen by the charity.

Barn Elms Sports Trust is dedicated to the management of sports on the Barn Elms Playing Fields, a London Borough of Richmond upon Thames owned site. The playing fields and facilities are used by a variety of local schools, sporting teams and community groups. Including pitches for football, rugby, cricket and rounders, there are also grass spaces for other sports and events, together with netball and tennis courts, plus a pavilion with changing rooms and space for hosting parties.

The long shackle, keyed alike padlocks donated by Burg‑Wächter are from a broad range of weather‑resistant options offered by the company. With hardened steel shackles they offer excellent security. These padlocks and chains will allow us to keep these facilities locked up out of hours and prevent vandalism (which is an issue on site), and enable us to keep the equipment safe and functional for the community. Then all I had to do was to email some details to an address given there.”
