Next Stage Of Full Site Development At The Citadel Announced By Farsley Celtic

Farsley Celtic's pitch and stadium - credit Farsley Celtic Football Club Farsley Celtic Football Club have announced that the club is pushing ahead with the next stage of its planning application for the full site development at The Citadel.

The aim for the National League North is to provide a modern, state of the art sports facility, with both internal and external FIFA 2* synthetic playing surfaces. It will feature indoor bar and café areas, as well as changing and function facilities.

The proposed structure has been designed with less able-bodied users in mind, and they will be working with local disability groups and charities to ensure we provide a fully accessible community facility.

This represents a large financial investment in the club and the local community that Farsley Celtic believe will provide not only for all of their internal teams, but also for the local and wider community a facility that is of a higher specification than is available anywhere else as well as provide a community hub for sport and social activity for all sections of society. This will put Farsley on the map as a place to enjoy sport in a totally inclusive environment.

The pre-planning application is now completed, and the club will now undergo a short, public consultation period before submitting the application for council approval. This is expected to happen within the next 3-4 weeks.

Farsley Celtic FC anticipate a full planning application being submitted in August time and for spades to be in the ground by the end of the calendar year.
