● DSA members to have an information stall in the Foxes Fanstore and players to warm-up in Disability Matters t-shirts

Leicester City’s Premier League game at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend will be dedicated to the Disability Matters campaign.

An initiative highlighting the Football Club’s disability offering, the fixture will also promote the work of the Disability Support Association (DSA), an independent organisation who work with LCFC to improve the matchday experience for supporters with disabilities.

As part of the day, members of the DSA will have an information stall in the Foxes Fanstore for supporters to find out more about the group, before meeting City’s first team players, who will warm-up in Disability Matters t-shirts.

Furthermore, Leicester City season ticket holder and DSA member Noah Dewis, 11, will lead the Foxes out as mascot for this game.

Judith Smoraczewska, Chair of the DSA, said: “We’d like to dedicate this fixture to our late Chair, Sandra Fixter, who sadly passed away suddenly in December. This matchday was her idea, and something she always wanted to happen.

“Our Association provides support and information for any fans with disabilities, and we look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible at this game.

“We’ll be available to talk to in the Foxes Fanstore from 12pm – 1:45pm if anybody would like to find out more about our work or is interested in becoming a member.”

Later this week (Wednesday 19th April), the Club will host their first Disability Matters shopping hour in the Foxes Fanstore, an opportunity for people with disabilities to have their own private shopping experience on Filbert Way.

The scheme will take place from 9:30am – 10:30am on the third Wednesday of every month, and forms part of the Club’s commitment to becoming an even more disability-friendly organisation.

A 20 per cent in-store discount will also be available to DSA members during the shopping hour. Please note the discount does not include sale items.
