Subject to approval by the council, work is scheduled to begin at the end of the season on a range of improvements to enhance the fan experience, including television screens, a stage for live music, new permanent flagpoles and fencing, improved toilet facilities, four food concessions – all owned and operated by the club itself, which will benefit from early bird food and drink discounts – and picnic tables. The fan zone will be covered by a canopy to ensure a pleasant and welcoming environment, whatever the weather.

The development promises to significantly improve the pre-match offering at Home Park, and is the next step in an ongoing series of stadium improvement works designed to maximise fans’ enjoyment at the Theatre of Greens.

Christian Kent, Argyle’s Head of Venue, said: “We are excited to be able to share our plans for the new fan zone with supporters, and hope to be able to work with Plymouth City Council and all stakeholders to ensure a swift approval process so that work can begin.

“We thank the Green Army for their patience as we sought a permanent fan zone solution on the Central Park side of the stadium, and we are confident our proposal will significantly enhance the match-day experience at Home Park.

“We look forward to sharing more information in due course, but hope the initial impressions provide a flavour of what’s to come in the months ahead.”
