New Hybrid Surface Pitch For Rangers

Rangers new pitch transformation is under way in readiness for a Championships League assault.

Despite last year’s relaying of the Ibrox pitch it appears that Rangers are ready to install a new fully hybrid surface.

SIS Pitches have been selected by Ibrox to install a new hybrid pitch. SIS promotes their hybrid pitch with the statement ‘SIS grass pitch is proven to accommodate considerably more playing hours than a 100 per cent natural pitch, whilst providing greater durability for intensive usage schedules over an extended period of time’.

This is a wise investment by Rangers and whilst it might not be immediately visually obvious, it should be something that helps players avoid injuries and ensure games aren’t postponed due to adverse weather, an important consideration with the inclement Glasgow weather.
