Covid-19 Virus - Business Update from The Floorbrite Group

Hand in rubber glove cleaning, Floorbrite

The Floorbrite Group would like to share with you our current position on the dynamically moving impacts of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) on our Cleaning and Facilities Services in these unprecedented times, and reassure you that we are doing everything we can to field this and accommodate our clients bespoke circumstances.

Cleaning and Facilities Services

Currently we are operating as business as usual and working to all recommended guidelines as advised by the government and NHS England, which is critical to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.

We are sure that you can understand that due to the concerns around the full impact of Coronavirus, some of our services are in much higher demand than usual, as customers are choosing to increase the level and frequency of their cleaning schedules and services, whilst the need for certain products has increased exponentially.

We want you to know that we understand the importance of the services and products we provide to you and your business, especially at this time, and would like to reassure you that the board and senior management team are meeting daily to review our position and react accordingly to maintain service delivery and our operational capability. From this we have initiated some practical measures to aid the cause:

  • Our field based operational management and sales personnel will keep direct customer contact to a minimum, and site visits being limited to essential travel at this time.
  • All operational management staff have been trained to ensure they adhere to all Coronavirus best practice and have been issued with disposable gloves as a preventative control measure out on sites.
  • All cleaning operatives are being issued with personal hand sanitisers
  • Although our standard chemical range already includes products that have anti-bacterial properties, our suppliers have formulated additional new viricidal products to enhance our sanitisation capabilities.

Additional services as positive control measures for COVID-19

In response to demand for increased levels and frequency of cleaning schedules and services, our Health and Safety department have created 3 tiers of specification to simplify the process.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic; The Floorbrite Group appreciate that increased cleaning and sanitisation measures are becoming a priority. In response to this, The Floorbrite Group are able to offer the following enhanced levels of service which can be completed as part of your own Covid-19 prevention measures. If any of our additional services are of interest, then please contact our specialist cleaning division team as below:

Industrial Cleaning Senior Coordinator – Vicky Northrop – 07912 250717

Industrial Cleaning Supervisor – David Bunn – 07966 901022

1. Level 1 specification – High Touch Point Clean

Where there are NO suspected or confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. We would look to minimise non-essential cleaning duties within your existing specification, in order to reallocate time and prioritise cleaning to sanitise and disinfect high frequency/high touch areas.

2. Level 2 specification – Sanitisation Clean

Where there are NO suspected or confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

Enhanced cleaning measures can be introduced to sanitise and disinfect high frequency/high touch areas and also a light disinfectant spray of walls, doors, washrooms and heavy traffic areas.

This option should be completed as an extra precautionary measure to assist with preventing illness and killing germs.

3. Level 3 specification – Advanced Fogging or Spraying Anti-Microbial clean

Where there ARE confirmed or suspected cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our Advanced Cleaning option includes a heavy-duty sanitisation electrostatic spray or a room fogging service, where

A fine mist of sanitizing micro-droplets can be sprayed into the air. This needs to be completed when the premises are vacant to enable the chemical to settle on all surfaces and sanitise them, also covering inaccessible areas that conventional cleaning or spot spraying can miss. More than 100sqm can be sanitised in just a few minutes, ideal for large spaces.

Whilst every effort will be taken to ensure that entire areas are sanitised, no complete guarantee can be given for the 100% eradication of any biological or viral pathogens.

We are also able to provide I.T Cleaning of computer equipment, keyboards and phones, Sanitisation of Air conditioning systems, and specialist deep cleaning to kitchens including cooker hoods and ducting, which may harbour germs and bacteria.

Business Operations

Also, in response to the current situation, we’ve implemented our business continuity plan which examines all areas of business operations across The Floorbrite Group and we have taken actions to ensure continued service to our customers.

To this end, we have made the decision for HQ staff, who can perform their jobs remotely, to work from home for the foreseeable future to ensure we can maintain our ability to serve you. Our operationally critical departments including our warehousing, logistics, and specialist cleaning teams however, remain based at our premises to date, to ensure we are able to accept deliveries from suppliers and deliver stores to sites, whilst fielding reactive specialist cleaning service requests.

Our supply chain continues to operate as effectively as possible, however, this has been disrupted due to unprecedented high demand for certain products, and some lead times to receive goods have increased due to limitations on international movement of goods. However, stock levels within our warehouses of all our staple items remain normal, and we continue to work closely with our supply partners to ensure this remains constant and replenished.

On a final note, if there is anything you need, or if we can help in any way, please let us know. In addition, please help us to keep our staff safe. If you suspect or have a confirmed case of Coronavirus on your site, please let us now as soon as possible.

Furthermore, if you are planning at any point to take the precautionary measure of closing your site either fully or partially, please keep us advised of your circumstances and try and give us as much notice as possible to be able to field this and communicate effectively.

Finally we would like to give heartfelt thanks to all our clients who are continuing to support us, so that in turn we can support our staff and safeguard our business for the future We would also like to take this opportunity to give massive thanks to our colleagues who are all working tirelessly to ensure we can continue to serve you well.

Stay safe and we wish you good health.
