Nominations For The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2023

Stadium Awards 2023 logo Stadium Experience is pleased to announce that 78 football, rugby and cricket clubs across the UK have been nominated for awards in The Stadium Events & Hospitality Awards 2023. The awards, sponsored by Global Payments & Hungrrr, will take place at St. Mary’s Stadium, home to Southampton Football Club on Thursday 8th June 2023. Around 350 guests from over 40 clubs will experience a fine dining three course menu, awards ceremony, followed by an exclusive onsite after party until 4am. 2023 will be the 16th annual awards event organised by Stadium Experience.


Further Development Of Anfield Could See A Reduction In Stadium Capacity

Liverpool Football Club Anfield Road stadium work in progress As Liverpool close in on the completion of the new Anfield Road Stand, it’s been suggested that further redevelopment of the Reds’ home could actually see a reduction in the stadium’s overall capacity. Phase two of Liverpool’s Anfield expansion plan will be completed this summer with the Anfield Road Stand taking capacity to just over the 61,000 figure, marking a fulfilment of a key promise that FSG made upon purchasing the club, to provide a 60,000-seater stadium for Liverpool FC.

A cheering football crowd UK Sport has published its Environmental Sustainability Strategy which includes a goal for high-performance sport to have a net positive impact on the environment by 2040. This ambition builds on a goal of reducing the negative environmental impact of UK Sport’s own activities and operations, to achieve net zero by 2030.
