Update From British Association For Sustainable Sport

Update From British Association For Sustainable Sport BASIS Members in Parliament

A number of BASIS members – including Arsenal FC and the All England Club – contributed to a meeting chaired by Bim Afolami MP (viewable at the end of this page) organised by the Parliamentary Renewable & Sustainable Energy Group. Our own Russell Seymour and friends from the R&A, Sport Positive Summit and Envision Virgin Racing joined Jonathan Overend, who delivered a recent BASIS webinar. Nigel Topping, the High Level Champion for COP26, spoke about harnessing the power of sport to boost climate action and global negotiations. This meeting was the first of its kind in parliament and, with BASIS members so prominently represented, it gives us plenty to build on in the vital months ahead.
