Everton Reassure Fans After Bramley Moore Stadium “Floods”
Everton's new stadium is really beginning to take shape, but recent footage went viral of the stadia once again flooding, causing some concern among Everton fans, after the recent barrage of rain across the North‑West of England.
The heavy rains came courtesy of Storm Bert and Storm Darragh after the Met Office issued a yellow rain warning for the Liverpool area, and the results were clear to see.
However, the club were quick to point out that these issues are not ones that will surface when the stadium is finished. Making it clear that the project is still under construction and has yet to be fitted with all the “siphonic drainage required” for a club at this level.
This isn't the first time the stadium has faced the wrath of the elements, either. Earlier this year, in fact, the stadium was hit by the elements, and Everton was keen to stress that no lasting damage was done to the stadium.
The stadium, which is set to cost over £700 million once it's completed, is making good progress regardless of the setbacks. December is also a key month for Everton, as construction is set to be formally completed and the keys to the stadium officially handed over to the club.
The club also recently launched a “Club View” experience for fans, alongside the reveal of a 360 view stadium tour. The latter of which will be fully deployed in early 2025 to give Everton fans looking to secure season tickets the chance to see the view of the stadium from their desired seats. For now, it serves as a nice way to get a better look at the playing surface.
It won't be long until Everton fans say goodbye to their historic home at Goodison Park and look towards a new season in their futuristic new stadium.
