Villa Park New Home For Villa Women's Team

An aerial image of Villa Park and the surrounding environs Aston Villa Women have announce that Villa Park will become the team's main stadium for the 2024/25 season.

The team will play all eleven of their home Barclays WSL fixtures in B6, a significant increase compared to the five played there during the last campaign.

The remaining home fixtures, including Adobe Women’s FA Cup and FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup ties, will be played at Poundland Bescot Stadium.

Villa made the move to Walsall in 2020 following the club's promotion from the Barclays Women's Championship and will continue its strong partnership with the football club into next season.

Head of Women's Football, Lee Billiard said: “This is another big step forward and represents a continuation of the progress of our women's programme at Aston Villa.

“Through the support and hard work of many departments across the football club, we have been able to show Villa Park is a commercially viable venue for us.

“In the times we have played there, especially over the last couple of seasons, it has always created a special matchday experience for everyone involved.

“Players and staff collectively share an excitement to call Villa Park our primary ground from 2024/25 onwards.

“Our relationship with Walsall Football Club continues as Poundland Bescot Stadium will be our secondary venue.”
