Dundee United vs Aberdeen Matches To Trial Later Kick-Off Time

Dundee United’s Premiership fixtures versus Aberdeen F.C. on Saturday 8th October (Tannadice) and Saturday 12th November (Pittodrie) will both commence at the new time of 6pm. Both clubs requested the later kick off as part of a wider plan to trial different approaches, with the aim of increasing attendances at matches.

Dundee United’s Chief Executive Luigi Capuano said: “The idea is to boost attendance and allow wider access from our supporter base, including families.

“There are other positives factors including greater commercial and media exposure and maximising revenue generation for local businesses, but our main priority was in creating opportunity for greater spectator access.

“After this fixture, we will review the success of the event.”

Dundee United and Aberdeen F.C. have said the would also like to extend their appreciation to the relevant stakeholders, and hope that fans of both clubs embrace this opportunity to explore collective enhancement of football.
