The £2.5million project is part of summer refurbishment programme, and will see the bar space at the bet365 Stadium transformed into a fresh, contemporary and vibrant venue.

The ground floor will have a new lay-out, complete with the installation of large screen TVs, new toilets and enhanced bar and catering facilities. The upper level will also be refurbished with more of a function suite feel.

The existing kitchen on the ground level will be upgraded, with a new kitchen to be installed on the upper level. Both facilities will also be available for events and functions on non-match days.

Match-day membership details will be announced in due course, whilst the Club are currently consulting with the Supporter Council and other stakeholders about a renaming process.

The transformation of the bar, which is being carried out by local contractors Carson Powell, is part of a £6million programme of works being carried out this summer at the stadium and Clayton Wood.

Work includes the installation of more than 8,400 new seats in the Franklyn Stand, as well as a complete transformation of the Boardroom/Chairman’s Suite, Stanley Matthews and Players’ Lounges.

Supporters in the Tile Mountain and Caldwell Construction Stands will benefit from significantly improved washroom facilities in the concourses, whilst a new synthetic, all-weather pitch is being installed at Clayton Wood for use by the first-team, all our Academy line-ups and Women’s sides.

It should be noted that the sports bar is scheduled for completion by the end of September and will not be open on match-days until that time.
