However, maintaining elite playing surfaces is becoming increasingly challenging as Gray Leaf Spot (GLS) continues to test grounds managers. GLS appears at a critical time, during the renovation period. It is spreading faster, and affecting more pitches due to shifting climate conditions, with rising temperatures and increased humidity. Football grounds teams must adapt strategies to protect their surfaces from this aggressive fungal pathogen.
