Vanarama Sponsorship Extension Kicks-Off New Lease Of Life For The National League

  • Vanarama extends title sponsorship of the National League
  • £4 million package is Vanarama’s biggest ever commercial deal
  • Extension will see long-standing partnership continue until the 24/25 season
  • Huge deal signals Vanarama’s confidence and the scale of its ambition

Leading vehicle leasing specialist Vanarama has signed a huge new deal to extend its longstanding and successful title sponsorship of the National League for a further three years.

This deal coincides with the recent launch of Vanarama’s new multi-million pound brand campaign which encourages its customers to find their new lease of life.

The new arrangement with the National League, worth up to £4 million, is the biggest commercial deal in Vanarama’s history and will breathe a new lease of life into the partnership until the end of the 24/25 season.

This extends the relationship between the brand and league to a full 11 years. The major investment will elevate the profile of the National League and give reassurance and consistency to clubs.

The deal also signals Vanarama’s steadfast commitment to the National League, its clubs and fans and the brand’s desire to support what it sees as the very heart and soul of the football community.

The Vanarama National League will also receive incredible exposure with increased live coverage on BT Sport over the next three years – allowing even more exposure for Vanarama’s vehicle leasing proposition which outstrips the tired and dated traditional car-buying process.

In recent years Vanarama has seen huge growth in personal car leasing customers and will use the partnership with the National League to highlight its industry leading e-commerce platform – vanarama.com – to football fans nationwide. The opportunity for a football fan to lease their dream vehicle has never been easier. And, with the acceleration towards electric gathering pace, Vanarama will offer fans the chance to keep up with the pace of change with its ever-increasing electric vehicle range and free home charge points.

Since taking over title sponsorship of the National League in 2014 Vanarama has actively raised the profile of the league through innovative campaigns such as MANarama which helped raise over £200k for Prostate Cancer UK. That campaign won awards at both the BT Sports Industry Awards and the Football Business Awards. More recently Vanarama gained widespread news coverage with its petition to lobby EA Sports to get the National League into the FIFA game. During the Covid pandemic Vanarama paid their sponsorship fee early and also set up a COVID support helpline for National League clubs if they wanted support applying for any of the Government financial schemes

Andy Alderson, Vanarama CEO, said:

“We’re delighted to continue our relationship with the National League. We have a great affinity for this level of football as it really helped us accelerate the growth of our commercial van leasing business back in 2014. Now in 2021 having just launched our new brand campaign we’re breathing a new lease of life into our sector. As we undergo huge growth across our personal car leasing business, we wanted to show our commitment to do the same for grassroots football. The clubs and communities at this level have gone through very hard times, we hope that our investment will offer some stability and hope as we all work through the covid pandemic together.”

Brian Barwick OBE, National League Chairman, said: “We are delighted to continue our title sponsorship with Vanarama and thank them for their steadfast support during the past twelve months. This enhanced arrangement will take our partnership up to eleven years. That speaks volumes about the confidence we both have in each other. The National League has found a great organisation to work with and we are pleased Vanarama find the relationship to be equally rewarding. We all look forward to four more years growing our unique partnership.”
