LIA’s New Safety Certification Scheme

LIA's New Safety Certification Scheme The LIA’s new Safety Certification Scheme (LIASC) was created to focus on product safety and compliance and we are excited to announce that the first company to achieve such certification is Fox Lux Emergency Lighting.

After listening to their customers who regularly use the LIA Laboratory for safety testing, the LIA Compliance team identified a requirement of certification based solely around product safety. So the LIASC Certificate, the LIASC and the LIASC+ Schemes, which are easily accessible and affordable, have been launched to meet these requirements.

Fox Lux’s ‘FXS Microwave Motion Sensor’ underwent vigorous Safety Testing to the relevant standards. Fox Lux then submitted the required quality information and passed the evaluations to successfully obtain the LIASC Certified Status. In return for its commitment to compliance, the ‘FXS Microwave Motion Sensor range’ is listed on the Product Conformity Scheme LIASC register here and can showcase its dedicated LIASC Logo.

When asked why Fox Lux Emergency Lighting got involved in the scheme, Simon Fox, Managing Director of Fox Lux Emergency Lighting commented:

“Fox Lux is proud to receive the first LIASC Certification for its range of daylight and microwave sensors under the latest LIA Safety Certification scheme. The scheme provides an opportunity to have products, the manufacturing facility and supporting documentation, independently assessed with ongoing surveillance to ensure continuous compliance. This independent assessment, combined with our 5-year warranty, will reinforce our customer’s confidence when buying from Fox Lux. We fully support the LIA in its quest to improve product compliance and awareness in the market, and will be submitting more controls and luminaires for assessment under the LIA and ICEL Certification schemes.”
