Plans Unveiled For New £350m Manchester Music And Sports Arena
Plans to build the UK's largest arena at Manchester's Etihad Campus, in a move which would support 4,500 jobs, have been unveiled.
Oak View Group (OVG) is behind the proposals, which have been in the pipeline since last year. With the support of City Football Group, the company has been undertaking feasibility studies, along with extensive community consultations.
The £350m investment would be entirely privately funded and lead to the establishment of a 23,500-capacity venue hosting music, entertainment and sporting events.
An energy-efficient design, low carbon technologies and waste reduction measures would make it one of the most sustainable venues in the UK.
