Wates FM Continues Growth With Global Investment Firm

The new appointment will see Wates FM deliver Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) maintenance over a three-year period at Barings’ Old Bailey premises in London. The M&E provision includes power, lighting, air conditioning, building management system (BMS), fire protection, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and catering equipment.

The contract is the third competitive tender to be successfully secured by Wates FM with Barings, extending the businesses’ relationship to ten years.

The continued partnership will also see Wates FM support Barings’ Environmental and Social Governance Agenda through the adoption of sustainable technology and the engagement of local Social Enterprises.

Formerly operating as Wates Smartspace, Wates FM forms part of Wates Property Services alongside the Group’s Living Space business.

Wates FM currently manages over 350 commercial properties, delivering services including statutory compliance, cleaning, security, catering, porterage, front-of-house, help desks and computer-aided facilities management (CAFM), as well as mechanical and electrical and building fabric maintenance through a mix of site based and mobile teams.
