Queens Park Rangers To Install Rail Seating

Corner of Queens Park Rangers (QPR) Loftus Road stadium Following extensive consultation with supporters, Queens Park Rangers have confirm their intention is to install rail seating in the Loftus Road Lower Stand after slightly more than 74% of fans surveyed confirmed this would be their preferred location for its implementation.

The changes will see 1,063 seats in the Lower Loft converted into rail seating ahead of the 2022/23 season. The Lower Loft will have a combination of both seated and rail-seating seats available within the stand.

This implementation will require changes to the Family Stand, with Blocks NL and PL in the Lower Loft and PU in the Upper Loft becoming designated family areas. Families within these areas will still have access to all family facilities in the stand, including the Matchday Activities Room.

As a result of the proposed changes, several upgrades will be made within the stand, including additional food and drink facilities within the Upper and Lower Loft.

Supporters will be able to access the Upper and Lower Loft from both the South Africa Road and Loftus Road entrances.

The club have now opened a consultation period, with season ticket holders being contacted directly with further details on how to get in touch if needed.

QPR’s move follows the installation of safe standing rail seating by Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City at their respective stadia.
