FASET’s Long-Awaited AGM Event Set For 25th November

FASET (Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training) logo FASET (Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training) has announced that its Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday 25th November 2021 in an event that also includes the association’s Annual Awards and Members’ Social Evening.

Last year’s event was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic, like so many other events. Therefore, FASET is going to great lengths to make this year’s event the best yet.

As the trade association and training body for the safety netting and temporary safety systems industry, FASET is recognised as the authoritative voice for safe working at height, delivering support through quality guidance, dedicated training and exclusive benefit schemes for its members.

This year’s event will take place at Tewkesbury Park, Lincoln Green Lane, Tewkesbury. The AGM will commence at 10:30am, following registration and coffee at 9:30am. The evening event will take place in the bar from 6:30pm onwards.

Try The IPAF Virtual Reality Working At Height Simulator

FASET exists to keep people who work at height safe – and at this year’s event there will be a virtual reality working at height simulator, enabling everyone in attendance to try out their skills safely. There will be a competitive element – the person who completes the at-height course safely, in the quickest time, will receive a prize!



Industry Speakers

Already confirmed to speak at the event are:

  • IPAF (the International Powered Access Federation), the not-for-profit member organisation in the field of powered access. A leading representative of the organisation will be speaking on the developments in E-PAL and E-Logbooks.
  • Lawyer Adam Pavey, who will be speaking on employment law and how it affects companies and individuals in the industry.
  • Simon Taylor, Chief Executive of FM Business Daily and Rail Business Daily, and marketing partner of FASET, will be talking about maximising the impact of marketing activities in the FM and construction sectors.
  • Trevor Oakley from the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) will be there to answer all questions on grant funding, as well as assisting with claims for funding.

Awards, Networking And Entertainment

The evening will commence with a drinks reception at 6:30pm, followed by dinner and the annual awards presentation.

Those attending this year’s event will be in great company. In addition to the FASET staff and board members, there will be the opportunity to network with a number of main contractor representatives from the HSE, CSCS, the National Federation of Roofing Contractors and the Homebuilders Federation. At past events, this has been the start of a number of strong and sustainable working relationships.
