Leicester City’s King Power Stadium Expansion Images Revealed

Leicester City's proposed East Stand Leicester City Football Club have now unveiled the first images of their planned redevelopment of the King Power Stadium.

They illustrate Leicester City’s plans for the expansion of King Power Stadium’s capacity to 40,000 and the significant developments intended for the surrounding areas.

The plans include proposals for the addition of 8,000 seats at King Power Stadium, a 220-room hotel and also a multi-purpose event and entertainment arena.

Residential Tower

There are also proposals for a new Leicester City retail space, residential and commercial space, and multi-storey car parking facilities – enhancements to the site that can further the evolution of both the Football Club and the city.

The developments will further underline Leicestershire’s reputation as a home of world-class sport and create a 365-day destination that will support the regeneration of an area that has been the home of the Football Club for 130 years.

As part of a public consultation, Leicester City are now asking for feedback on the plans. They are encouraging supporters to get in touch, and also writing to local residents for their opinions on the project.

The club have said the earliest completion date possible for the stadium is the summer of 2024, though this does not include the whole site.
