Ulster To Host 500 Fans At Belfast’s Kingspan Stadium

Ulster Rugby's Kingspan Stadium Ulster will welcome 500 fans to Belfast’s Kingspan Stadium for the Irish province's final Pro14 Rainbow Cup home game against Scarlets on May 29th.

This decision follows the latest relaxation of Covid‑19 restrictions announced on May 20th by the Northern Ireland Executive.

Tickets were accessible to the province's ‘TogetherUlster’ members via an online ballot process which were available for 24 hours from 2pm on Monday May 24th on the Ulster's ticket account system and successful applicants were notified on the evening of Tuesday May 25th. Members will then have a deadline of 2pm on Wednesday May 26th to confirm their ticket purchase and process payment for the £20 tickets which will be allocated in groups of two with two‑metre physical distancing factored in.

After Ulster returned to action in their behind‑closed‑doors games at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium (Lansdown Rd) last summer, the province's first home match of the season on 2nd October had 600 supporters inside Kingspan Stadium in line with then advice from Northern Ireland's chief medical and scientific officers. Then on 22nd November a crowd of 1,000 watched Ulster's game against Scarlets and in early December, after a two‑week ‘circuit breaker’, 500 supporters returned to the venue for Ulster’s European game against Toulouse but following this more stringent restrictions were then introduced meaning supporters have not been present in Kingspan Stadium since December.
