Comment On Return Of Fans To Sports And Entertainment Venues

Football match at Chelsea Football Club's ground Jon Davies, Managing Director, Levy UK + Ireland on the return of fans to sports and entertainment venues on 17th May.

“After a tumultuous year, the confirmation from the government that fans will be able to return to sports and entertainment venues from the 17th May is very welcome news. We have done a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes with our venue partners in order to prepare for the safe return of fans, and to ensure that they are offered the exciting and memorable experiences they have been waiting for throughout the lockdown.

“We’re working hand in hand with all our teams to ensure they feel safe and confident to come back into the workplace with extensive re‑induction and training programmes alongside our ‘See, Care, Share’ approach, which empowers them to speak up about any anxieties and to inform improvements that can be made across all areas of the company.

“The health and safety of Levy’s people and of our visitors is always our primary concern and priority and will continue to be into the post‑COVID recovery period and beyond. We have been an industry leader in events technology for several years and are fortunate to have been ahead of the curve on innovations such as cashless, dynamic queuing and digital screens - these will be instrumental in our implementation of social distancing and other health and safety measures.

“This period provides us with a real opportunity to make positive change and to lead by example. Levy will lead the way in driving new sustainable and ethical practices within the industry, supporting our local communities, and spearheading new initiatives in the delivery of our services. We can’t wait to welcome visitors back.”
